ROANOKE, VA (February 6, 2009)– Sam Eligwe and Joe Shewmaker combined to score 53 points to lead Northern Virginia Community College over Virginia Western Community College 92-83.Eligwe and Shewmaker scored 27 points and 26 points, respectively.
Malik N’Garmin netted 12 points, John Bayerdelle added 11 points, and Mark Philips scored 10 points as NOVA’s other double-figure scorers.
Mario Ferguson scored 21 points to lead the Stars. Kahdeed George added 19 points, Logan Janney scored 16 points and Roderick Holland netted 10 points.
