The NOVA Raiders are looking for a big turn out of fans to see the team that is coming down from New York City to display their basketball talent. With the support of our fans, the Raiders can show them the type of college spirt NOVA has and we can send the back to New York with a loss. Tip off is at 2:00 PM but fans should get there at 1:30 to get a seat. A win over ASA will bring the NOVA Radiers to .500% or 5 and 5 for the season and 2-0 in VCCS Conference play. All of the five losses have come at the hands of Maryland JUCO teams four of which have been regional or national champions within the last few years.
The next home game after ASA will be the grudge match with the College of Southern Maryland on Thursday Dec 11th at 7:00 PM. NOVA has won the last two matchups and CSM will be looking for revenge. Fan support for this game is a must. There will be lots of CSM fans making the trip to Annandale from LaPlata.

The Maryland JUCO Conference is one of the top Conferences in the country. The three time conference champion College of Southern Maryland always plays tough. A win by NOVA against a MDJUCO team is a milestone for the season. This season could yield a modern NOVA record to win two or more MDJUCO games.
After trailing for most of the first half, the CSM men’s basketball team rallied to take the lead in the second half, only to see NOVA pull away at the end to win 93-84.
Northern Virginia Community College (2-4) controlled the pace for most of the first half, using their height advantage to control the boards, and force the Hawks to miss from inside on offense. The Raiders biggest lead was 12 points mid-way through the half (21-9), and NOVA held a 45-32 lead at halftime.
